Dear Congregant,
We at Paxtonville Church share in a rich history. Having served the community for almost 145 years, we have been Christ's constant representative in Paxtonville through generations of change. We have enjoyed our facilities, expanding and renovating them in order to meet the needs of the community and parish. At times we have been able to financially plan ahead for the care and maintenance of our facilities. At other times we had to act quickly in order to preserve aspects of our church's history. Such is the case for the recent renovation of a select few of our beautiful historic stained-glass windows.
After prayerful consideration by both the Board of Trustees and the administrative Council, we moved in faith to see that the windows most in need of repair were addressed. The cost for these complete repairs was $11,750. We have moved in faith believing it God's call to be good stewards of the property He has given us. We ask now that you move in faith with us.
On behalf of the Trustees and the Administrative Council I would like to extend to you the opportunity to make an end-of-the year financial contribution to help defray the cost of the recently renovated stained-glass windows. This appeal is specifically for sacrificial giving, above and beyond your normal tithe or offering. We realize that many of you plan special financial gifts at the end of the year, and this year we ask that you consider the church in your giving.
As we celebrate the coming birth of the God's gift to all humanity, we invite you to participate in an Advent giving campaign to meet the needs of our own church. Every Sunday during Advent you will have the opportunity to give toward the renovation of our stained-glass windows during our regular offering. Likewise, you can give a gift at any time towards this project. I am reminded of Proverbs 18:16; ?A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.? This Christmas allow God to bless you through your gift to Him, and be ushered into the presence of His greatness.
In the Spirit of Peace,
Pastor Randy Bennett
